offsite link Losing to Win Thu Feb 13, 2025 14:00 | Dr James Allan
Sometimes politicians have to lose to win so the other side can show its true colours. Trump is the standout example, says Prof James Allan. Had he won in 2020, we would not have had the blitz of the last four weeks.

G.M. Alert !

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Wednesday March 13, 2002 14:17author by Albert Ross - Friends of the Earth Report this post to the editors

Watch what you drink !

According to new research, your favourite drink may contain GM modified ingredients.

I am writing this slowly for the benefit of those who cannot read quickly.

According to a colleague who works in a research laboratory, the famous black drink which we all love has been using genetically modified ingredients for the past 18 months.

These ingredients have been irradiated - to alter the shelf life I am told.

They have also been treated by a nuclear term which I am cannot recall the name of - it is where certain DNA are removed and replaced by DNA which helps to make them more disease resistant.

I most agree with this research when, I have drank about 12 pints of Guiness, I quite often fall over and sometimes even shit myself.
Is this radiation sickness?

A bit more detail would be nice on this?

I do believe that your falling over could be a result of radiation sickness.

If you consume more than 6 pints in any one occasion, then the cumulative dose would be astronomical - obviously this would depend on how many years you have been drinking this poison!

On a lighter note, I was also informed that the colourisation process involves collecting dog shit from the streets of Ireland, then passing it through blenders and filters to remove 'the lumpy bits'.

Idly the American tourist watched the Cork man dig and turn over the soil. Eventually he called:

'Hey, buddy, what's that you're doing?'

'I'm digging potatoes, sor.'

'Potatoes? Those small things? You call them potatoes? Back home in Iowa we have potatoes ten times that size!'

'Yes, sor. But you see. We only grow them to fit our mouths!'

thanks for the link albert ross but it just leads to a page with 20 GM articles. Where is the material about Guinness containing GM?

Erm?

Is the above talk of radiation for real? Or is it sarcasm?
If it is I would ask you to look in to a little junior cert biology and maybe a bit of physics.

You will find that the name "nuclear" means partaining to the neucleus. which in the above context refers to the part of the cell which holds the DNA. And has nothing to do with any sort of subatomic operation. So no radiation would be involved.

As for the original, Guiness has been full of chemicals and shit for years. GM is the least of a guiness drinkers worries. NATURAL INGRIDIENTS my ass....

This spud head person should really spend some time doing something he is interested in instead of taking the p**s out of what you don't understand. With referance to the article... bit of a sweeping statement, perhaps you could elaborate on the facts?>?
