TIME 12.30 until 2pm
FOR THE SECOND PROTEST IN OVER 10 YEARS AT THIS CRUEL SPECTACLE.
‘Hares are still getting injured during this cruel event, also the real cruelty is in the netting and confinement of these gentle creatures. Injured GREYHOUNDS are also a disposable commodity to COURSING people when they get injured .
The cloth cap brigade have blood on their hands, this spectacle is archaic and outdated.’
………. LIVE HARE COURSING SHOULD NOT BE A PART OF IRISH LIFE IN 2010
This event is being co- organised jointly by Campaign for the Abolition of Cruel Sports CACS and AOHS, The Association of Hunt Saboteurs.

ARAN will also be having a demonstration on the day at the finals also, details we will be releasing in January.
Horray for ARAN. You go girl.....
It's good that most of the animal advocacy groups in Ireland will be protesting outside the so-called National Hare Coursing Festival...the "Olympics" of organised animal cruelty in Ireland.
Here is what some Fianna Fail and Fine Gael politicians call "sport"...a relic of the days when institutional abuse and State-approved Muck savagery were deemed part of "our culture".
With staghunting about to be banned, let's press for the abolition of live hare coursing...
Stumbled across your site by accident. can i ask what you will be protesting about? hares being killed (around 2 or 3 will be on the day) or the number of greyhounds that participate in the coursing derby and oaks which will be shot by the end of the week - numbering 100+?
Roy your question is answered in the article itself:
"‘Hares are still getting injured during this cruel event, also the real cruelty is in the netting and confinement of these gentle creatures. Injured GREYHOUNDS are also a disposable commodity to COURSING people when they get injured ."
In sother words, the concern here is for ALL the animals who suffer because of this cruel activity.
Just curious to know how this went? Reactions of the scum, etc?
