“Are fair and decent working conditions for migrant workers
possible in a changing labour market?”
The conference seeks to bring together key stake holders to consider this core question of whether fair employment standards for migrant workers are possible, as well as to look at ways of ensuring the rights of migrant workers are protected in the changing economy.
The conference will draw on an array of expertise from the United States, United Kingdom and Ireland, from local campaigners to trade unions, business representatives and State agencies. A keynote address will be given by Paul Mason BBC Newsnight's Economics Editor, followed by sessions chaired by Cathal Mac Coille, journalist with RTE Radio 1 and Janice Fine, Assistant Professor, Labor studies and employment relations, Rutgers University.
