Protest agiainst Shell in Nigeria and Ireland There will be a protest at the Four Seasons Hotel Dublin where Terry Nolan, the head man in Shell Ireland, is speaking to a group of Mayo businessmen. This week saw the anniversary of the execution of Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight others by the Shell-backed Nigerian dictatorship in 1995, and business people from Mayo might be better served by inviting someone from the Niger Delta to tell them what sort of company Shell is, and exactly who they have as a neighbour.

The answer to your question I believe to be yes.
Shell has a long history in Egypt like Nigeria and it dates from 1886.
Had to leave Egypt when nationalisation took place in the earlty1960s.
Only returned in the 1970s and from then on has had to work in partnerships only.
Ireland remains unique in 0 - 100 in favour of oil companies: look at many countries in Africa like
Egypt. Chad borrowed so that it could enter partnership.
