Two suicide bombers, standing 15 meters apart, blew themselves up at the entrance to the Neve Sha'anan Quarter near Tel Aviv's old central bus station in Tel Aviv last week, killing five and wounding 40.

Or when
19 people were killed and 74 injured - six seriously - in a suicide bombing at the Patt junction in Jerusalem. The bus, which was completely destroyed, was carrying many students on their way to school. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.

or when
17 people were killed and 38 injured when a car packed with a large quantity of explosives struck Egged bus No. 830 traveling from Tel-Aviv to Tiberias at the Megiddo junction near Afula. The bus, which burst into flames, was completely destroyed.
or when
last week, three Palestinians ambushed a bus, and started shooting anyone within reach, men, women, and children - all of them civilians.

And you were silent. Is the blood of Palestinians worth more than the blood of Israelis?

Where were you then???
And Why didn't the United Nations Security Council hold an emergency meeting to discuss the brutal murder of Israelis???

Why do you think that people are willing to give up their own lives in order to strike back at the Zionist Racists? Could it possibly be because they object to being ejected from their own country, PALESTINE, to make room for foreigners from all over the world. The so called "civilians" on the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip would be very safe if they went home to the states and elsewhere and did not attempt to colonise the land of the Palestinian people.

If they object to being ejected from their own country, to make room for foreigners from all over the world then their main concern is to stay alive and not to give up their lives while murdering other people.

author by Despublication date Fri Jul 26, 2002 00:10author address author phone Report this post to the editors

Nah, you stupid bitch (I take it that insults are an integral part of the discussion) their goal is to defend their own country from foreigners attempting to colonise it with the assistance of the "free world" including Bush, Blair and co.

Your righteousness stinks

Africa has a famine ; the Prods are killing the Tadghs again and all you anarchists in Dublin can do is parade out side the Israeli embassy !

You know your ARAB mates in the PLO and Hamas dont give warnings and go out of their way to kill young ,old , civilians Jews ,Israeli Arabs , foreign workers or anyone they can kill in Israel ON PURPOSE . Even your mates in the IRA used to put on apretence of giving warnings .
The murderous Arabs dont .
So an Israeli attack killed some innocent children --that is bad and maybe reckless in hindsight but it was not the main purpose of their attack so you all bl--dy well know .
The Israelis whatever else they may do wrong do not go out to kill innocents --the Arabs do .

SO GO FIGHT ANOTHER CAUSE -FIND OUT WHY THERE IS FAMINE IN AFRICA AND WHAT DOES CHRISTIAN IRELAND AND THE BLESSED E .U AND U . N . DO ABOUT THAT ?
WHAT ARE YOU LOT DOING ABOUT KASHMIR --OR DONT WE INTERFERE WHEN THERE ARE TWO BIG BOYS PLAYING ?

YOUR CONCERN IS MISPLACED AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE WHEN THE CROOKED CORRUPT ARAFART STARTED THIS BLOODY INTIFADA TWO YEARS AGO .
YOUR PROTEST SHOULD BE OUTSIDE 24 DAME STREET -THE PLO H Q IN DUBLIN

Bombing buses, discoteques, pizzerias, bar mitzvas and the like is not "defending their country" ,no matter how you look at it.It's more like killing as many Jews as possible and then going out and shooting in the air in a merry celebration of the carnage.

Thanks for finally equating the IDF with the suicide bombers. You're right there is terrorism on both sides. And it's Israel who are by far the more efficient at it judging by the numbers of civilians killed.

P.S. to all the Irish people writing in support of Israel I suggest you read the Israeli press and check out the total hatred they have for Europeans not to mention Arabs.... The live in their own moral universe - it's quite breathtaking.

The present "intifada" started when Sharon desacrated an Islamic holy site, a deliberate provocation intended to produce a reaction, which of course it did. As regards warnings, did the Zionist air force let anyone know that they intended to murder twelve young children, including a young BABY. Ariel regards this as a great success which reinforces my opinion that he should join Milosevic in the dock at the U.N. war crimes tribunal in the Hague.

-The following is an updated version of the detailed chronology of the events leading up to the Temple Mount riots, including the statements and actions of the Palestinian Authority :The current round of violence began several days prior to the visit of Israeli MK Ariel Sharon to the Temple Mount. The following is chronology of the events that occurred leading up to the outbreak of violence on Friday, September 29.

September, 2000
* Netzarim Junction, Gaza - There is a sharp increase in violent attacks by Palestinians against Israeli security forces and civilians.

* During the early part of the week of September 25, the head of the Palestinian Preventive Security ServiceJibril Rajub was contacted to make arrangements for Sharon to visit the Temple Mount. Rajub said the visit "would pose no problem" as long as Sharon did not enter the mosques and under those circumstances "there was no reason for concern."

Wednesday, September 27, 2000
* Netzarim Junction, Gaza - An Israeli soldier was killed and two others wounded by a roadside bomb.

Thursday, September 28, 2000
* Temple Mount, Jerusalem - At 7:30 a.m., Israeli Knesset Member Ariel Sharon visited the Temple Mount with a six member Likud Knesset delegation. Responding to intelligence reports, the group was escorted by 1,000 police officers. Sharon did not enter the mosques.

* At the time of their entry to site, approximately 150 Muslims were praying atop the Temple Mount, including members of the Palestinian Authority's Legislative Council and Arab Knesset members.

* At first, the Arab Knesset members walked alongside the Likud delegation.

* When the Arab Knesset members saw the presence of the media at the site, they began hurling abuse at Sharon.

* The delegation stopped at Solomon's Stables for a briefing on the site. A group of demonstrators was pushed back by police. One Palestinian boy was lightly wounded and given medical attention.

* As the delegation was leaving, dozens of Palestinians ran after them. As they departed, a crowd of one thousand Palestinians led by the Arab Knesset members threw stones at the police surrounding the delegation members. Thirty policemen and four Palestinians were lightly wounded.

* The widespread violence erupted more than 24 hours after the vaisit. Israel has concluded the violence was orchestrated by Palestinian leaders in the hope that a certain degree of violence might serve political purposes.

Palestinian Authority Involvement
* The riots occurred 24 hours later, following the broadcast of inciteful statements by official Palestinian radio and television stations.

* On September 28, four hours after the visit, the Palestinian Authority's official Voice of Palestine radio broadcast a statement by Yasser Arafat declaring the visit to be "a serious step against Muslim holy places." Arafat called upon the Arab and Islamic world to "move immediately to stop these aggressions and Israeli practices against holy Jerusalem."

* At 4:00 p.m., Palestinian Legislative Council speaker Ahmad Quray inflamed listeners to the Voice of Palestine radio by declaring that the visit "defiled" the mosques and "is a clear and flagrant expression of the Israeli schemes" against Muslim holy places.

* In the same broadcast, Palestinian Culture and Information Minister Yasir Abd Rabbuh declared that Israelis have the goal of "Judaizing" Jerusalem.

* Members of the Palestinian security forces were reported to have infiltrated into the Temple Mount compound several days prior to the violence and took part in orchestrating the riots.

Friday, September 29, 2000
* Qalqilya, West Bank - A Palestinian police officer participating in a joint security patrol with Israeli police suddenly shouted "Allahu Akbar" and killed his Israeli colleague.

* Joint Israeli-Palestinian security patrols have been suspended as a result of this incident.

* Western Wall Plaza - Immediately after Friday prayers in the mosques, hundreds of Palestinians attempted to overpower Israeli Police and Border Guards at the Western Wall Plaza where Jewish worshippers prayed prior to Rosh Hashanah.

* Rocks were thrown from the platform of the mosque compound onto Jewish worshippers in the plaza below. When the rioters entered the Temple Mount and Israeli Border Guards opened fire with rubber bullets.

* In the initial outbreak of violence, four Palestinians were killed and over 100 were wounded in clashes with Israeli police.

* Over the weekend, 58 Palestinians were arrested for throwing rocks and firebombs throughout Jerusalem, and 60 policemen were injured.

* Jewish worshippers were evacuated from the Wall on Sept. 29 and were not permitted to return until after the Rosh Hashanah holiday on Oct. 2.
