Now now,
the special branch was on the road out of Dublin.
I'm still working on the report.

After 30 years of harrassment by these guys it's turning out to be longer than expected

It shouldnt be tolerated . Id advvise all those subjected to this to log this activity and in particular the names of the policemen involved with a solicitor , if they havent done so already . It may be useful some day in a case against the state and prevent this happening in future . Youve a right to your political opinions and shouldnt be harassed for possessing them . Its an attempt to stifle freedom of speech and political assembly . Plain bullying and intimidation .

Tut tut tut Ciaron.
And here was me thinking you'd be using a rowing boat to get over and back.
There again instead of special branch they'd just have sent the navy and torpedoed you instead.

Seriously. Pretty dire and shows how petty the state is. If you embarrass them and make people question their motives and actions, they pay you back by subjecting you to this type of harassment and intimidation. Still, take this as a positive. After all, if you weren't making some impact against them then they would not bother. So in a twisted way, accept this as praise for all the good work!

Keep it up!

Well I'm not even very ecologically sound having flown Ryan Air into Dublin!

I'm back safe and sound in Dub just about to catch the 2nd half of Man Utd V Spurs.

I will write the experience up, some interesting paradigm shifts that need to be deconstructed.
Many thanx for th concern expressed over the last 24 hours.

Seems the Branch are producing intelligence of the same quality that allowed the US to invade Iraq. I suppose the old maxim 'if you lie down with dogs you get fleas' fits well. No wonder they're turning up golfers in their 'investigations' into renditions.

Report on Detention at Luton Airport
November 09, 2007

http://www.indymedia.ie/article/84989
''As I entered the Luton terminal, I was approached by three plainclothes detectives. They stated that they had been alerted by the Irish Gardai that I was a threat to the aviation industry. They asked me if I was a member of "Plane Stupid" (a climate change direct actionist group against air travel)? Having paid 1c for my Ryan Air Flight I responded, "If I was with them I guess I would have come by train!" A detective responded "You'd be surprised!" ''
