Foreign Secretary David Lammy set out "the future of the U.K.'s foreign policy" this week. It's an abysmal vision, says Dr. David McGrogan, but it gives hope that the edifice of 'progressive realism' will soon collapse.

Fianna Fáil is a different political party.

The Governemnt have no qualms when it comes to gagging people. Section 31 is all one needs to revisit to encounter shameful attacks on freedom of speech by successive Irish Governments whatever the formation or political hue of those involved.

Eoghan Harris made in an art-form when at RTE.

What we are seeing here is an extension of this kind of puppetering. Knee jerk reactionism from Idiot Zionists like Shatter and self-doubting bumblers like Lenihan who thinks this action will make his masters in Washington pat his head.

Disgusting.

Brilliant!
Alan Shatter's response to the IAWM after being invited to speak at the conference:

" For someone who alleges he is interested in ³informed debate² it is obvious that with regard to the various difficulties and conflicts within the Middle East both you and the self styled IAWM have adopted a mixture of ideological and prejudiced views that will never actually be affected by what you describe to be "the real facts prevailing on the ground". Dear Mr Shatter,

Thank you for taking the time to reply to our invitation. I am saddened by the fact that you have declined to come and debate with our guests from the Middle East for I am sure such a civilised debate would have been extremely instructive for all the participants in the Conference.
I won't dwell on some of the disparaging comments you make about the IAWM - it's part and parcel of what we can expect from some illustrious members of the Dail and their 'friends' in the media.
We, in what concerns us, are proud of who we are and what we have achieved. We set up our movement a few months before the US decided to invade Iraq illegally - we were part in organising one of the biggest political demoinstrations in this country in 2003.....we since had a variety of guests who debated with us, including representatives of the US Embassy, Westminster MPs, Dail TDs, many many activists from the US , Europe and the Middle East- so you would have been in good company.....pity!!
For next Saturday we have an Iraqi MP, a Christian Lebanese ex-Minister, a member of the Israeli Knesset among many others who will honour us with their presence.
I cannot in all honesty say that your absence will be missed but then you and members of your political party have the unfortunate habit of erroneous judgement in many issues - things that hurt you and confuse big time what you stand for - ever since the glory days of Cosgrave, Donegan and Co. So what's new under the sun?

Regards
