Sara O'Rourke(IAWM) is the latest SWPer to be seconded to the IAWM. Herself, Richard Boyd Barrett and one of the O'Sullivans are presently the SWP stalwarts on the IAWM 'steering ctte', though, of course, Kieran Allen stills hangs about in the wings.
Seriously, though, I do think it is good practice for speakers to mention their political affiliation. It generally helps to clarify where they are coming from when one hears them speak.
Of course, Kieran Allen has been replaced by Kevin Wingfield on the IAWM SC. Wingfield is also a leader of the SWP.
Question: how many other political parties are represented on the IAWM steering committee?
This is not an idle question but a genuine one.
This is again the usual nonsense that comes out whenever the iawm tries to do something worthwhile.
The facts are: Kevin is not in the SC, nor is Martin O'S.
The three political parties represented in the iawm SC are: Socialist Party (1), Eirigi(1) and SWP(3). Apart from the above 5, there are 7 of us who're not in any political party = 12.
