category national | miscellaneous | event notice author Thursday May 31, 2007 07:47author by Ógra B - Ógra Shinn Féinauthor email osfnational at yahoo dot ie Report this post to the editors

Coiste na n-Iarchimi takes great pride in inviting you to this year’s Campa Náisiúnta Óige at Sheep Island View, Ballintoy, North Antrim.

This event is organised under our Processes of Nation Building Programme, which aims to create understanding and build relationships through dialogue and reflection with all those who have an interest in nation building across Ireland.

North Antrim was a hotbed of the 1798 Rebellion. Many Presbyterians took part in the rebellion against the English Government of the time. Some of these were women. Martina Anderson will use her opening address to elaborate on her role as Sinn Féin’s Director of Unionist Outreach and appeal to Presbyterians to engage in a process of building a new society.

Participants can also enjoy a programme of discussion and debate including George Galloway MP and Unionist and Republican speakers combined with social and cultural activities including live music and entertainment.
