Acht Gaeilge Anois

Beidh mórshiúil go lár cathrach Bhéal Feirste ag tarlú Dé Sathairn 9ú Meitheamh, é eagraithe ag eagrais éagsúla atá ag éileamh Acht Gaeilge do na Sé Chondae.

There will be a march to Belfast city centre happening on Saturday 9th June, organised by a number of organisations that are demanding an Irish Language Act for NI.
Acht Gaeilge Anois!
Acht Gaeilge Anois!

I ndiaidh an chéad mhórshiúil ar son Acht Gaeilge i mí Feabhra (http://www.indymedia.ie/article/80817) tharla mórán i ndul chun cinn an scéil. Chríochnaigh próiseas comhairliúcháin RCEF agus 93% de na haighneachtaí a fuair siad ar son Acht láidir ceartasach Gaeilge.

D'ainneon an aischothaithe seo, mhaígh RCEF go mbeadh dara próiseas comhairliúcháin faoin Acht. Níl seo sásúil do lucht labhartha na Gaeilge, agus dá bhrí beidh mórshiúl ag tarlú De Sathairn 9ú Meitheamh chun seo a chur in iúl.

Beidh daoine ag bualadh le chéile lasmuigh de Chultúrlann Mc Adam Ó Fiaich ar Bhóthar na bhFál le fágáil ag 1in ar an lá.

Bí linn.

Following the first march for an Irish Language Act in February (http://www.indymedia.ie/article/80817) the situation has developed greatly. The first DCAL consultation process finished with 93% of the sumbissions they received in favour of a strong rights-based Irish Language Act.

Despite this feedback, DCAL has announced that there would be a second consultation process about the Act. This is not satisfactory for Irish speakers, and because of it there will be a march on Saturday 9th June to make this point.

People will be meeting outside Cultúrlann Mc Adam Ó Fiaich on the Falls Road to set off at 1pm on the day.

Be there.
