G8: German police declares protest march on June 7th illegal !

- repression against anti-G8 movement -

Incredible! As reported today on indymedia Germany http://www.germany.indymedia.org/2007/05/176460.shtml a spokesman of the Einsatzleitung of the police declared the planned international anti-G 8 protest march on Rostock on june the 7th for illegal and forbidden!
qqq.jpg

The protest march was planned that way: many marches from Bad Doberan, Kühlungsborn, Nienhagen, Kröpelin unite in Heiligendamm to one march.

Police yesterday said these marches have to be cancelled completely because they could make it impossible for police and for first aid to act freely.

Organisations and members of the german anti-G 8 movement will go to court to fight for their right to protest.

German conservative press, like Focus and Die Welt came up with all sort of lies: a journalist with the pseudonym hal wrote that lefist terrorists would threaten to execute G 8 members. http://www.welt.de/politik/article864740/G-8-Gegner_sol....html

And more repression: minister Schäuble plans, with the help of old 3rd Reich laws, pre-emtive arrests.

They took down the server- SO36.

This is a community media forum sever doing the things that we do.
Representing the voices of the people who do not have a voice, because of
a wave of globalisation.

Hint:- It is seen in Globalisation. it is usually found with cultural debasement and the
isolation of community.

This is indicated in tara. Rossport. Pallskenry.

Some people want to reduce that to an insularity and that is why they suceed
in careerism.

Ireland is part of a community. read the above link.

(((i))). is about community resistance not a political career.

http://www.friendsofbradwill.org

Though many prefer to look at ireland's problems as specifically insular.
this is why the media only covers the negative- the riots. Not the social centres.
The poets. the writers. the voices.

we hear bono in his blessed garters singing his aubades to Tony blair whilst
creaming and minting it with the schlock rock.

There is more information about the ongoing repression against the G8 protestors. Clearly big Capital is upping the stakes. It is making use of laws brought in, in the wake of the Sept 2001 attacks which has been a godsend for authorities everywhere to use as a justification to bring in all sorts of represssion legislation, curbing of civil liberties, to the use of torture and to launch two wars in which numerous other nations of the 'civilised world' have participated to some degree.

It is reported that:
German police carried out a series of highly coordinated raids against anti-globalisation and left-wing organizations across Germany on Wednesday. Nine hundred police searched a total of 40 locations in the cities of Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen and other towns in northern Germany. The raids were authorised by the General Attorney’s Office on the basis of Paragraph 129a of German law, i.e., that the organisations raided were involved in the “creation of a terrorist organisation.” According to the Attorney’s Office, terrorist attacks were being prepared primarily in connection with the G8 summit to be held in Germany this summer.

In Berlin, hundreds of police were involved in raids throughout the suburb of Kreuzberg. Police conducted an extensive search of the Mehringhof complex of apartments and shops, including a bookstore and bakery. Raids were also carried out in other offices and apartments in Kreuzberg, in which computers, hard discs, printers and files were confiscated. Police also shut down a Berlin-based computer server used to coordinate the activities of left-wing and anarchist groups.

In the northern city of Hamburg police raided an alternative cultural centre, Die Rote Flora. Large numbers of police stormed the building early Wednesday morning confiscating 10 computers and other documentation.

There was a protest in Edinburgh today outside the German consulate. It was a demonstration of autonomous activists to protest outside the German Consulate asking for an end to police repression to show that it is the G8 leaders who are the real terrorists, not people trying to shut it down.

German Police have carried out roughly 40 raids across Germany or social centres and homes as well as taking out the alternative internet provider so36.net. This is all done as part of a security operation surrounding the G8 summit due to take place within a month in Northern Germany.

Successful action, we hope!
