Jump To Comment: 1In addition to the meeting in Dooleys Hotel Birr, this Thursday 3rd May I would like to give notice of a meeting in Grenville Hotel, Mullingar on Wednesday 9th May. All meetings are at 8.00 pm and John Gill will attend and speak at all meetings.
In regard to the Thurles three, the good news is that Thomas Kennedy was today moved from Cork prison to Shelton Abbey prison. Any prison is hard for a free spirit like Tom to bear but we trust that Shelton may be more comfortable. John Gill is maintaining his indefatiguible efforts to get a Habeus Corpus motion or to get him out -full stop. Tom will not, and cannot purge his contempt of court. The court and its servants, stole his land and birthright, his citizens right to tell his own story of how it was done in judge Buttimers court, or anywhere else, is not to be lightly relinquished.
A protest on Thomas's behalf and in favour of reform of the legal professions and judiciary, was to be held at the Dail on Tuesday 3rd May at 12 mid-day. Because the dail is now no longer in session, this protest is being reconvened at the offices of the Revenue commissioners in Dublin Castle instead. This is to highlight the fact that solicitors consistently delay payment of stamp duty for years and hold these moneies in their own accounts. The Revenue Commissioners collude with this practice and also turn a blind eye to the common practice of solicitors falsifying reported property sale prices.
