The Covid Inquiry is being led by the wrong experts (lawyers) who are asking the wrong questions of the wrong people. It's not only ignoring scientific evidence but actively suppressing it, says Dr Andrew Bamji.

Considering that you seem to think that anarchists are responsible for organising ICTU/DCTU events, I'd reccomend that people give serious consideration to your well-informed opinion.

Bit confusing having international may day in april, i know because its the weekend but defeats the purpose of may day
I have just seen this comment and I am confused. Can you elaborate a little on your concerns. I would hope the trade Union movement would be working to improve links with all workers and not isolating any group. Can you outline what the problems are.
they are being politically isolated by the unions.

there is only one way to promote progress, walk-out and block the city centre. passive resistance with road blocks, sit-ins and street parties.
the long summer of '07!! people have to stop leaving after the main marches. the aim of protest is to get a message across, not be quiet and stand in a corner not causing disruption. with an election coming up it is do or die for corrib and tara.
Orginise Secondary School National Walk-out in support of Shell to Sea for an hour. You will see a huge support. Also make May 1st a street party for the whole day in town. Pressure high level leaders that support the campaign to spend the day on the street. we need front page stories and high media saturation.
What about a 'march of campaigns' this year and try to bring groups with local issues/campaigns from around the country to Dublin. There will be much common ground. Obviously it would be preferably to have ICTU fully behind this but is it really necessary. It could prove a great way of re-connecting local branches with grassroots and single-issue campaigns. Examples might include - Monaghan & Letterkenny hospital campaigns, Shell to Sea, Tara/M3, Thornton Hall there are many more I'm sure.
Good to hear its going to be more than just a march. The problem with the DCTU is that they do nothing to publicise the May Day Events. Any posters or leaflets produced end up collecting dust in TU offices.
Why not approach activists, political groups and campaigning organiations to distribute the info material? Or even if the DCTU organised leafletting sessions and publicity events I'm sure you would get activists to join in.
