Thursday February 01, 2007 19:59 by Ray - Cork Shell to Sea corkshelltosea at gmail dot com
To remember 100 years of corporate Hell In commemoration of 100 years of Shell Oil's greed, theft and destruction of communities worldwide, the Cork branch of Shell to Sea unveiled its latest agitprop creation in the heart of Cork city, a 30ft banner saying 'Shell 100 years..Pollution.Corruption and Murder' complete with enemy logo. Shell may be proud of their record profits announced today, but we took it on ourselves to remind the citizens of Cork of how those billions were made, and at whose expense. You're showing the rest of us how it's done.
obviously a very productive day you're having, digging out a thread from February so you can make a snide comment - that's really going to have the S2S campaign quaking in their boots! Splendid stuff keep it up
obviously an oitstanding success table at 4 - 5 pertable = 28 - 35 people out of a population in the greater CorArea of approximately 250,000, Shell must be trembling in their boots at present
Great banner-nice work around the country everyone!
See you all in Rossport on the 16th..
Make sure to bring that banner!
Maith sibh, a mhuintir Chorcaí,
Is fada an lá ó bhí Corcaigh chomh hálainn agus an maisiúchán a chuir sibh uirthi
well done to one and all - keep up the good work.
And a great big thanks to all in the rebel county from all in Mayo!
"The smell from Corporate Shell is wicked ,let's tell Bertie where to stick it, cheers from us all for the folk of Mayo"
More photos from the action...
Late on and we're still busy.
It's getting dark now, but we're still there.
That bright banner shot that I screwed up earlier.
More photos from this evening's action
Later on again and we're still there.
Who is that masked man?! Answers on the back of a postage stamp please...
More masked faces at our protest.
The streetlights come on and we're still there!
It's getting on, and the dinner's in the oven
