The BBC has run a story claiming UK spring temperatures are up 1.8?C. It's alarmist agitprop straight from a Green Blob press release and it doesn't check out when you look at the facts, says Chris Morrison.

The Javaad Alipoor Company is a theatre company with a woke "nine-point manifesto that drives everything we do". Inevitably, the Arts Council is stuffing it with taxpayers' cash. Why do we fund this crap?

What sort of music will be played?

author by Lefty Type - BKCpublication date Thu Jan 25, 2007 19:16author address author phone Report this post to the editors

With a rich history of alternative culture surrounding it dance music has firmly established itself as one of the cutting edge genres when it comes to a different way of listening to music and of looking at life.

Now its time to give something back-and have a good time doing it!

Electronic Resistance aims to bring together all lovers of dance music and in the process raise much needed cash for the many social movements and struggles going on around us that are day by day fighting against the injustices that persist in our society.

E.R hopes to give as many people as possible a chance to be in some way involved in these movements in whatever way, even if its just coming to one of our gigs and having a damn good time as the DJs spin the sharpest choons around, from Electro, Techno, Drum n Bass, Breakbeat, Dubstep and Breakcore ; Downtempo to Uptempo, Minimal to Maximal, and all the intimate variations of Ying and Yang!

I'm not a supporter of the campaign generally but did find myself at this event and enjoyed it immensely... others could learn from this format.
