Two places still available for Palestine trip (7-14th Oct)

The last 2 places are available for an 8 day tour of the West Bank which takes place from the 7th to the 14th of October 2006.

Every day we will visit a new city / town and will meet with Palestinian and Israeli activists who are working for justice and peace. There will also be 2 cultural nights, where you can learn more about Palestinian music and culture.
Costing less than 450 euro per person sharing (a single supplement will apply), this organised trip will include visits to:
* Bethlehem (where we will be based);
* Jericho;
* Ramallah;
* Jerusalem;
* Nablus;
* Hebron.


Itinerary:

The tour price includes your local guides, airport transport and all local transport, itinerary arrangements, bed, breakfast and dinner. Prices exclude flights.

Day 1: Arrive at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion airport. Transfer to Bethlehem. Induction and welcome with Alternative Tourism Group (ATG).

Day 2: Bethlehem: ATG tour of Bethlehem area - (including Apartheid Wall and settler bypass roads), Deheishe refugee camp (visit Ibdaa cultural centre), visit Heroidum (fortress palace of King Herod). Meeting with Applied Research Institute of Jerusalem (presentation about the Wall and land confiscation).

Day 3: Jericho: Tour of Jericho, Qumran Caves, the Dead Sea. Meeting with YMCA.

Day 4: Ramallah: Tour of Ramallah, Tomb of Arafat. Meeting with Defence for Children International, meeting with Al Dameer Prisoners' Support and Human Rights Association.

Day 5: Jerusalem: Tour of the Old City, (The Souks, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Haram al Sharif {Dome of the Rock, al-Aqsa Mosque}, Western Wall), Settlement Tour. Meeting with Israeli Refusniks. Musical Evening at Jadal Center in Beit Sahour.

Day 6: Nablus: Tour of Nablus, tour of Balata Refugee Camp, Al Najah University, Meeting with students and local people.

Day 7: Hebron: Tour of Hebron, Tomb of the Patriarchs. Meeting with people affected by the Occupation, (followed by visit to pottery & glass shop). Meeting with Rabbis for Human Rights. A traditional Palestinian meal and an evening with folk music.

Day 8: Depart Tel Aviv Ben Gurion airport.

eh sorry how do you think you can get into Palestine without having an Israeli stamp put on your passport, they are occupying the pace and control the borders, you might have heard!
