From handing over the Chagos Islands to compensating Gerry Adams, Starmer's decisions owe more to human rights lawyers than sound politics. He needs to sack his chum Lord Hermer before he shipwrecks his Government.

One figure that has been repeatedly cited in the grooming gangs debate is that 1 in 73 Muslim men in the town of Rotherham has been prosecuted for grooming gang offences. However, this figure is slightly misleading.

[ In an interview with London's Guardian newspaper, Hans Blix said, "I have my detractors in Washington. There are bastards who spread things around, of course, who planted nasty things in the media" ] http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/06/12/blix.interview.cnna/

we must ping this closer to the date so people can go along. Meanwhile can't Ireland or Dublin offer the man some award?

Twas one mild September in two-thousand and six
When to Dublin came former UN inspector Hans Blix
Who had had made a reprot “It’s plain to see
“Saddam Hussein has probably got no WMD”
But Bush might have told the waiting media
“My lust for oil is growing greedier and greedier
“And though all think I am but a loony
“I’ll save Iraq for Shia and Sunni
“And those who oppose, I accuse of treasons”
(tho’ it must be said he had no reasons)
And quick to follow into his snare
Was British Labour leader Tony Blair.
Alas no gun was found that was smoking
But still they felt this was no time for joking
And while they ventured not from the Green Zone
The cry went up “Bring the Troops Home”

Much to chagrin of Rice, Rumsfeld and their leader
Coalition forces could not destroy Al Qaida
And Iran declared despite the threats “Like all
Others we keep our reprocessing cycle”
And Israel’s rapid dash to the Litani
Failed, like the PDs of Mary Harney

Blair said “I’ll deal with this islamofascist ilk”
And created a panic over exploding baby milk
So thousands of holiday makers, crowded, waiting to go
To Ibiza, delayed for hours and hours in Heathrow
And searched they were by x-ray, touch and smell
To see if they were carrying soft drinks or hair gel

Bush, his popularity fell in each opinion poll
And voices called for Blair’s head to roll
Along the news wires the message came
Things are no better, they’re just the same

Activists knocked from their groove, sent
Posters and leaflets from the Irish Anti War Movement
To urge the people of Ireland, “Have a care!
“Assemble at 1pm in Parnell Square
“And put a stop to this unholy sport
“Of US troops using Shannon airport!”

It is a short walk up O’Connell Street from the Spire
To face down the war lords of the Empire
If we do protest on 23 September
We’ll give our rulers something to remember

"give every country a nuclear weapon. a well armed society is a polite society."
so writes "brandon" of the USA
http://newsforums.bbc.co.uk/nol/thread.jspa?threadID=41...12425

Makes me giggle, way back in the dim mists of time when no-one even knew what a PN 14342 copy of a 100$ supernote was ( c/f
or that they were & are made in North Korea - a writer using the pseudonom "Brandon" produced one of the best conspiracy theory dossiers ever. He really brought it all together, the reptilian aliens, the unknown masters, the greys, Roswell, the big f-e-d-e-r-a-l government & even put an alien base complete with MIB in Dulce New Mexico. But somehow his conspiracy theories were really US. Fu Manchu or Kim il Yong didn't come into it.

Anyway - Iraqi WMD was a myth. Iranian WMD is just silly as Belarus Athrax or Racine caches. But all along there has been one little man of astounding musical talent, writing ability, loved by his starving people [& secure now that he has bribed (in dollars) his elderly generals] intent on making a dirty big filthy nukylear bomb.

Did Bush or Clinton, Blair or Mc Dowell do anything?

nope. Which now brings all the bar-stool philosophers & experts to a-wondering what can or could they do?

Arguably for the first time since its creation, North Korea has something worth selling. Well not really true - they've been exporting fake notes, drugs & missiles for years. But now they really have something worth selling.

For the strong types at the bar who recommend sanctions & military might - let's remember most of the North Korean people are starving. They don't get rice & they don't get fake dollars. They also have nowhere else to go except China. The Chinese aren't sure if they have enough rice to give North Korean refugees. & it only takes 30 minutes to cross the DMZ (yep say that demilitarised zone) in a hovercraft & nuke the South.

So Let's wonder a moment
who will want to buy what Kim is selling? & will he accept a cheque, all the gold he can eat, a picnic hamper full of 100€ notes or a Ramadan calander?

did he get your attention? yep. he did.... didn't he!?

The regime that rules has had long enough time to figure out how best it might get out if things go bad. & one of those options was always what most people would technically call a war & others would see as excellent business opportunities.

>> is it time for Korean reunification? messy as it might be?

This young Kim knows us better than his da.

That's why the regime chose him.

=

The richest of North Korea & they are paltry in number, would not only survive a war but see their majority transfer their wealth to China, Japan or other such places and even bigger spenders who aren't places just corporations and individuals.
