Brilliant Table Quiz 8pm

Fantastic RAG Fundraiser at the Lower Deck

Fantastic RAG Fundraiser at the Lower Deck, 8pm Tuesday, August 8th 2006

Tuesday, 8th of August will see the table quiz of the year taking place in the Lower Deck, Portobello, Dublin 8. There'll be a variety of rounds of interesting, but not impossibly difficult questions.

The quiz kicks off at 8pm, cost to take part is €5 and tables can have three to five people. The prizes are sure to be out of this world. It promises to be a very amusing, value-for-money evening.

We strongly recommend everyone to attend.

The quiz is being organised by RAG, a revolutionary anarcha-feminist group. We meet regularly in Dublin and intend to bring out a magazine in September 2006. Along side writing articles and preparing the magazine content, we also hold discussions, argue about grammar, show films, provide support for each other and have fun. All money raised will go towards covering the costs of this worthy magazine.

Ok, straight away I see my headline is open to lewd interpretation. But what I mean to ask is whether this pub quiz open to people who are not anarcha-feminists.

Despite questions which ranged from 'give and example of a modal-verb' to 'who sang the power of love' the first RAG pub-quiz was a glittering success. Prices included bottles of whiskey, wine, a 'barely-used' sex manual and a pair of waterproof trousers.

Money raised will go towards the publication of RAGs first magazine. Can't wait.
