As part of Project06 in Galway, a re-enactment of the showtrial of George Galloway was broadcast on FM102.

20 minutes into the broadcast, the news came in of the historic victory of the ploughshares and this took precedence and was immediately broadcast over the airwaves with extracts from the defence of the ploughshares to great applause and cheers from all present. There followed a passionate speech by Sabina Higgins on the on going Israreli blitzgrieg of Lebanon and the supression by the corporate media of many of Michael D. Higgins's strong condemnations of Israel's savagery .

Also, an email arrived about a campaign to send seeds and support messages to the Guantanamo prisoners who have been refused permission by the US authorities to have their own food garden and in defiance of the authorities they have set up their own garden anyway. Please send seeds and messages of support if you can. For full info on this, email [email protected].
