CRAI continues the Fight against Incineration.

category national | environment | news report author Monday June 26, 2006 17:41author by Paula Geraghty Report this post to the editors

Residents from Sandymount, Ringsend, Bath Avenue and beyond, have been stepping up the fight on goverment plans to build an incinerator on the Poolbeg penninsula at Ringsend.
Not on my Beach Sun 17th June
Not on my Beach Sun 17th June

Last Sunday 17th June a family day took place (after the lashings of rain) to highlight Dublin Bay residents' concerns over the potential environmental, health and loss of democracy concerns they have.

This was followed by a picket outside the Dail last wednesday evening.
Full details at http://www.indymedia.ie/article/76747........
The vote was lost by 61 to 52.
One woman wanted the media to highlight that the incinerator would be as tall as Liberty hall and as long as Croke Park. Ominous indeed.

Lots of PBPA snaps. But I am puzzled about one thing. How do you join this People Before Profit Alliance? Does it really have an existence which is separate from the SWP, RBB and the IAWM are the registered owners of the PBPA. Will PBPA be running a candidate in Dublin SE?

Question for tank girl- what have you been doing about this? What great work have you been doing?
Thats just for starters- you seem to have nothing to add to this site except childish political jibes. If you spent more time out maybe leafleting or even talking to real people it might be a better use of your time. The only monkey here is the big trot one thats stuck on your back weighing you down. Your blinded by your own obsession. Big hill get over it.
