press release
Monday May 22, 2006 11:14 by Mark Grehan - Residents Against Racism
This is the press release sent out by several of the NGO's who were involved supporting the men. Needless to say ,the governments version of events is a total fabrication. Further details will be released shortly A coalition of NGOs today commended the peaceful ending ensured by the Afghan asylum seekers of their hunger strike and protest at St Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin. |

Jump To Comment: 2 1Tralee never had access nor did they seek it. At all stages Integrating Ireland and RAR had direct contact with the men inside. They worked very well together and hopefully this will continue, not just on the Afghan issue but on the wider issue. NGO's once again had to step in and fill the void vacated by the endemic failure of the State and McDowell.

Did anyone from II or the Tralee centre have access in the later stages?
