The Covid Inquiry is being led by the wrong experts (lawyers) who are asking the wrong questions of the wrong people. It's not only ignoring scientific evidence but actively suppressing it, says Dr Andrew Bamji.

Thanks to all who came down to Liberty Hall for the May film night. The Revolt film of the Afghan hunger strike was very good, looking forward to seeing future productions from this fledgling film crew. Cesky Sen went down a bomb and had people laughing out loud all the way through it, including a dozen or so czech people who came along.
The venue was full - actually it was overfull, and hence we had to stop some people at the door because cramming more people in was a fire hazard. We hope people can appreciate the effort that goes into organising these nights, securing a venue with a/v equipment that accomodates us is not easy. We try to make sure as many people as possible see the films (of course! we want there to be thousands at the films, rather than tens), but we have to abide by fire regulations and make sure people inside are not at risk or in danger.
Future screenings we hope to have a bit of extra space at the back of the room by rotating the soundproofed back 'wall' by 90 degrees. This will easily fit in another 20 seats or so. The next venue that is open to us seats 450 people, there is no way we are pulling in that many people at the moment, this is too big, so we will be sticking with the Connolly for the forseeable future.
Revolt hope to have a 20 minute film about Rossport completed in time for the June film night. More information to follow. We will also be adding some more Latin American shorts to the bill.
Again, we would stress that it is important that people show up on time (7pm) for the film screenings.
Thanks to SIPTU for their continued support of this initiative. The staff have been extremely helpful and accomodating, with tech advice and bar service, we really appreciate them giving us use of the Connolly Room, it is an excellent facility.
See you at the end of June.

IMC Ireland is pleased to premiere a new short edit of the film "Public Insecurity". The film features parts of an interview with Larry and Esther Wheelock as they tell the tragic story of the loss of their brother and son Terence, in the hands of the state, and also documents the ongoing Garda intimidation the family are now subject to. Stills from this documentary were used in a recent issue of the Village Magazine reporting the attack on the Wheelock home by members of An Garda Síochána.
Duration of this new edit is approximately 15 minutes.
Some screenshots from Thursday night's films to whet your appetite.

A lot of your potential audience will be protesting at HMS Ocean so how about putting back the start time?
There is a decent enough running time for the films so even if you're a bit late you'll catch some of them. Please come down and support IMC Ireland, and have a pint.
