Jump To Comment: 1The Rossport Solidarity Camp has held Shell at bay all last summer and has maintained a real presence in the area over the winter. If Shell gets the green light to commence construction, the camp will be there to accommodate those coming to Erris to blockade the compounds.
Dublin Shell to Sea hopes to coordinate transport to Rossport over the next few weeks, with a good possibility of there being a bus or two going up for 10th March. We're hoping people will come up for the weekend and help out with some of the work while at the same time familiarising themselves with the area and what Shell and the government are trying to get away with.
Further details will be posted here and on the camp website.
Dublin Shell to Sea meets every second Tuesday with the next meeting on 7th March, probably in the EENGO office over the Bounty Stores in Camden Street.
Further information can be obtained from 086 8537281.
