What we have seen in Starmer since July is a petty, inhumane, almost spiteful man who considers himself morally superior to the mass of humanity. This, says Dr David McGrogan, was confirmed in spades yesterday.

"You?ll never be wasting our time," reads the Prevent poster. So why did the anti-extremism programme fail to stop the Southport killer, who had been referred to it three times? He's not the only one, says Charlotte Gill.

Trump's withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement feels like an epoch defining event. Yes he did it before, says Ben Pile, but this time is different. The world now is waking up to the folly of Net Zero.

... a small but dedicated crew kept the stall going and handed out leaflets. Many people stopped to read the 'headlines' on Dublin's temporary 'Democracy Wall', the Bank railings, lined with photographs and stories of recent deportations.

Its would be interesting to see the alternative that the RAR would come up with for this one because they say don't deport any asylum seeker even though the deportations are carried out lawfully.

B'fhiú do dhuine éigin scéal na mná seo ina tír féin, a fhulaing sí, 7rl a chur síos in ionad cabhair a lorg do dhuine eile anaithnid. An duine í nó díol agóide?

While I have sympathy for Olivia and her children there is no way she can be allowed stay. One exception creates a precedent and unfortunately we have to face the reality that Ireland cant help and provide care for the many millions of potential asylum seekers with special needs. She will be safe in Italy

Sadly, the credibility of her appeal to stay was completely undermined by her false claim that her child was autistic. She has also damaged the cases of other failed asylum-seekers whose children might really have special-needs childen.

Can residents against racism tell me what is "racist" about deporting unsucessful asylum seekers? Or do residents against racism not consider this deportation racist and just take on any immigration matter notwithstanding its nature, racist or otherwise.

Deportation is the natural outcome of the asylum process.

The individual concerned had the benefit of a four stage process, refugee applications commissioner, refugee appeals tribunal, an appeal to the minister on humanatarian grounds and finally a high court challenge, all unsucessfull. I note in todays media the solicitor for the family notes that the law is not on their side. What more is to be said.

The Irish State surely cannot become the health service for sub-saharian Africa? It is totally impracticle to have an open borders policy as residents against racism advocate.
