Nulty company admits monument damage. Further controversy has erupted over the plans to extend the quarry operation at Ardkill More mountain near Cavan town. Residents in Co Cavan are objecting to the proposed expansion of a quarry, alleging it would threaten one of Ireland’s most ancient monuments. |

thats like what happened at navan fort, with the quarry, have you seen the pictures the quarry actually skirts the hill, its unreal.

planning laws. it's essential to keep in mind
that you are stewards of your landscape
and the deliberate abolition of duchas and
lack of any statutory enforcement agency
to protect your heritage, make it isolating
to campaign. I suggest you contact the
Tara Heritage Preservation Group for
information on citizen empowerment and
watch the media coverage of the Vincent Salafia Case beginning 12th january 2006.
It is essential to communicate with other
groups and campaign for state protection of National monuments, and against vested
interests.
