the vigils will be on the same day as the court appearances, ie. monday july 1 (10am - 12noon), tuesday july 2 (10am - 12noon), and friday july 5 (10am - 12noon). the district court is behind the four courts (near ormond quay). the court number is probably 43 or 44...it is in that block of court rooms.

Can anyone shed any light on why the cases have been adjourned ???....is it just the courts usual lenghty way of dealing with things..or has new evidence been uncovered... I could not make it down the courts to see the crew but would love an update all the same.....anyone....anyone

author by treenapublication date Mon Jul 08, 2002 13:58author address author phone Report this post to the editors

the cases are not expected to go to hearing until the end of the year at least, more likely next year. it was always expected to be a really slow process right from the beginning. the courts have a huge back log of cases...its a bureaucracy. i think what is being implied though is that the cases are being adjourned until the investigations have been completed. i'm just not sure if that means the invesigation OF the gards (which is not independent but ex gards investigating their own) or investigations BY the gards of the day, ie. compiling evidence, getting their story straight etc.
