"In 1996 Artists Mark Cullen and Brian Duggan formed Pallas Studios in Dublin's inner city. This multi functional art space has a wide range of services and ongoing Projects. From Art studios to contemporary exhibitions Pallas was established to harness, engage and provoke."
5 years later the city council gave them a derelict flat which they have turned into an art gallery.
Last week some of the seomra spraoi collective visited the group, saw the spaces and interviewed them

Pallas studios, their studio is the last building remaining on Foley street which has not undergone development. The studio has been here for the last 10 years and is rented. The name comes from the factory that the artists work out of, named after greek godess Pallas Athene, the godess of the arts and war.
this is the (in)famous monto part of dublin city, once the largest red light district in dublin.
10 years ago the artists; Mark Cullen and Brian Duggan approached the city council with a radical idea - give us space in derelict city zones to use as live art spaces- 5 years later and after much work to encourage the decision- the council gave them a derelict flat in Sean Treacey house on Buckingham street, just off Summerhill. It is primarly a modern art space in a unigue and different setting.
