What we have seen in Starmer since July is a petty, inhumane, almost spiteful man who considers himself morally superior to the mass of humanity. This, says Dr David McGrogan, was confirmed in spades yesterday.

Heritage Week - Tara SOS activities get off to a good start

category national | environment | news report author Saturday September 03, 2005 16:47author by Tara SOS - Tara SOS - M3 to the Westauthor phone 0863213755 Report this post to the editors

More Voluneteers Needed for Sunday 4th at 2pm at GPO for All Ireland Semi-Final leafletting

"Tús maith, leath na h-oibre," said Pat heading off with his leaflets to the Electric Picnic from Dublin Castle. And he is right. With the digging in the Tara Gabhra Valley in progress, time is running out to make it public knowledge that the current M3 route is a massive squandering of public money as it detours off like a rampaging tornado towards Tara before resuming its 'natural' directness from Navan to Kells that is normally a feature of motorways.

The NRA and the government must be swayed to reroute the M3.

Many of us in this group are from Meath and are commuters that travel the N3 every day. We see the traffic, where the bottle-necks are, and we know that they are not at Tara. And we also know that the M3 diverts unnecessarily into the Tara Gabhra Valley at an additional cost of up to E60m the Irish Tax Payer, and up to 3.5km extra on a journey from Navan to Dunshaughlin. We feel that Meath needs Infrastructure but Ireland needs Heritage too, and this current meandering route is a waste of Tax Payer's money.

Next Event: 2pm, Sunday 4th September at the GPO, Dublin, and on to leaflet the All Ireland Semi Finals at Croke Park.

Please be there.

3.5km shorter?
5km+ away from Tara?
E50m- E70m cheaper?

Why not?
