You would be more than welcome. Meeting comprises activists from SF, WSM, SWP, SP, one or two Labour but good few unaffiliated. Only guessing actually because party affiliation appears - for once!! - to be secondary. Check shell to sea site for details of contacting campiagn.
a banner on the station on the quays would be great - it would get seen by so many people
can I come along to the meetings even if I am unbranded politically - Im just a basic concerned citizen
This Shell story scares me and I want to see what I can do - (Im not trying to advertise my policitial party)
Would I be allowed to come into the meeting or would people find it weird that Im not politically affiliated?
Mass movement is what Im into - then we might have some change
"I love it when a plan comes together"
did anyone by any chance get a photo of the Mayoman with the farting donkey tshirt? It was very funny - homemade he told me .I believe the donkey was supposed to represent Shell.
Excellent. I am not sure if your group is aware of the Tuesday Dublin shelltosea meeting? Has been effective way of co-ordinating activities between SF, SWP, SP, anarchists, etc, etc. You should come along.
Supporters of Community & Workers Action placed a two hour picket on the Statoil Service Station on Templeville Road last evening. Leaflets and information was distributed and the station forecourt was empty for most of the protest. A similar action is planned for Thursday 28th July from 6.00pm to 8.00pm all supporters of the Rossport Five welome.
Good pics.
Another good blockade was held at the Statoil on Usher's Quay last night. There has been a blockade held there every Tuesday for the last few weeks.
Lots of Cops were keeping an eye on us but they were quite friendly.
Hardly any cars got in - plenty of leaftlets handed out - and plenty of interest from the rush hour traffic passing by and plenty of hooting in support.
The owner of the garage is behind the Rossport 5 as well and there was talk of us being allowed to hang a banner from the station on a permanent basis. Need to confirm details on this though.
Sorry don't have any pics!!
KEEP THE PROTESTS GOING.
The case of the Rossport Five is undeniable.
