IRA admit murder of child

category international | anti-war / imperialism | news report author Sunday June 26, 2005 00:43author by Saoirse in America Report this post to the editors

Insincere admission ends notorious piece of propaganda

Sinn Fein/IRA have admitted that it shot dead a teenage schoolgirl in Derry 32 years ago and blamed it on the British Army.
The admission puts to an end one of the most notorious pieces of Republican propaganda promoted over the past three decades - the the "Brits" murdered a "wee girl" on her way to the shops to buy milk for her mammy. The admission is the harbinger of Sinn Fein/IRA withdrawal from criminal behaviour, it is shoped.

The admission puts to an end one of the most notorious pieces of Republican propaganda promoted over the past three decades - the the "Brits" murdered a "wee girl" on her way to the shops to buy milk for her mammy.

The terrorist group said yesterday said it was responsible for the death of 14-year-old Kathleen Feeney near her home in Northern Ireland. At the time of her murder, they had claimed that a British soldier had killed her.

The girl's death took place when an IRA terrorist opened fire on a British Army patrol in near her home on November 14, 1973.

The British Army said that the IRA was responsible and that none of its soldiers had returned fire. However, the Sinn Fein/IRA agitprop machine worked overtime to put about the story that the "Brits" murdered Kathleen, just like they claimed that Jean McConville was an informer for the British Army, and deserved to be murdered for this, rather than the fact that they couldn't stomach a monther's empathy for an injured British solider shot by terrorists.

Last year, the girl's family called on Sinn Fein/IRA to publicly acknowledge they had killed Kathleen. Commentators now say that the confession is the latest in a series of attempts paving the way for an announcement during the coming months that Sinn Fein/IRA will end criminal activity and concentrate on liberal-democratic politics only. However, the blood of Irish childrena and weapons will not be so easily dismissed in a country that forgets nothing and forgives less.
