An evening lecture open to a wider audience which introduces 'Peak Oil' and the potential effects on societies, on economies, and on the world's food supply.

Feasta is holding a major international conference on June 23rd, 24th & 25th, 2005, at the Faculty of Agri-Food and the Environment, University College Dublin, Ireland.

FOOD SECURITY IN AN ENERGY-SCARCE WORLD

this lecture is the opening lecture, and as far as i know is free and open to all, venue to be confirmed

on the sat 25th of june, as an example of what some of us are doing, we invite people to the dolphins barn community garden for a day of play, work, picnic and hopefully boat rides
we are attempting to make a CPUL for dublin city along the canal edges

and the following day, sun 26th of june, we will cycle the orbital 18 km hoped for CPUL/ greenway, leaving from sheriff st after having planted an apple tree or two.
