Public Meeting in Dublin - Shell in Mayo

A public meeting to highlight the opposition to the Gas refinery which has
recieved Bord Pleanála approval for the Erris region of Mayo will be held in
Dublin on Wednesday evening the 25th. The meeting will also cover Shell
Oils record in such projects around the globe most notably in Nigeria.

Speakers:
Sr. Majella McCarron - returned missionery worker from Ogoni land in Nigeria
Terry Clancy - Shell To Sea
(tbc) Patrick Campbell - Oil rig worker and Campaign for Protection of Resources
(tbc) Maura Harrington - Shell To Sea, Erris Resident & local School teacher.

Venue: The Tailors Hall, Back Lane, Dublin 8. (Opp. Mother Redcaps near Christchurch)
Day: Wednesday
Time: 8pm
Date: May 25th

The meeting will also provide infomation for those wishing to travel to
Mayo to participate in a solidarity gathering which has been organised for the June Bank
Holiday weekend close to the proposed location of the new Shell gas
pipeline. The weekend will comprise of workshops, tours of the area,
opportunities to learn more about the construction plans and show support
for the local people fight against Shell and the gas pipeline.
