Jump To Comment: 1 2 3any idea whether new owners are going to keep a music shop on the site? I think O' Neil's was the oldest one in Dublin ; it would be a pity to see it go.
there is planning application for a licensed premises and three onebed apartments.
There is a notice from the previous owner saying that the shop will still be going and that he will be making some instruments as well (I think) but it has just moved to Co. Clare.
There's a website address on the window but I can't remember what it was.
I was given a violin by my great grandfather about 15 years ago. It was made in 1891 or 1890 at this shop. It has who it was made for and everything. Was trying to find out more information on the maker JJ McNeil and trying to get an appraisal on it. I also have a violin from 1850. If anyone knows anything or how I can find out the information that would be great.
Thanks
Sarah
