The Javaad Alipoor Company is a theatre company with a woke "nine-point manifesto that drives everything we do". Inevitably, the Arts Council is stuffing it with taxpayers' cash. Why do we fund this crap?

Mary Kelly is still 'round y'know !

Hallelujah ; Habemus Panzer/Rottweiler !

Just when the R.C. Cardinals have put an ex- member of the Hitler Youth in the turret, as it were, to spearhead the inevitable blitzkrieg attack on
"Habemus diabolam/ We have a devil"
"Habemus diabolam/ We have a devil"

gays, women priests and liberation theologians and the lights are dimming all over this suffering world, along comes a little levitas, courtesy of Mary Kelly and her fellow travellers.

"habebamus diabolum" (we had a devil) or "Habemus diabolum" (we have a devil)

According to the received orthodoxy of the Oxford Latin Dictionary there isn't a word "diabolam", only "diabolum" (from "diabolus"). An "am" ending makes it a first declension noun, which is usually (though not always) feminine.

A weird posting..brings to mind the popular Bush T-Shirt "A Village in Texas is missing an Idiot!". But in these series of posting over the last couple of years, one increasingly suspects that village is in Galway.

The MENTION of fellow travellers, when the photo only depicts one. Are you counting the photographer here...as in twos company, three a crowd?

The TITLE - who are you trying to convince Tommy us or you? Mary left activism over two years ago into the courts, she has now got a six year good behavior bond that she doesn't look like breaking and like many a defeated activist before her finds refuge on the lecture circuit.

The SYMBOLS and VISUALS you choose are idiotic....the use of an armed struggle republican threat, the use of the axe threatening decapitation, getting the Latin wrong are idotic and understandably don't sit well with the peace movement..

By trying to add to the Mary Kelly myth you diminish it. Keep its death throes off cyberspace and let the myth slowly ooze into folk lore. It was a courageous act by one woman one night at Shannon. Its use here as a basis for your cheap shot anti-Catholicism shite - and its promotion to the top of the newswire - makes one wonder about issues of self harm in the movement.

Tommy, Gay Catholics, liberation theologians don't need your help (this kind of help)...they know where the door is and if they're not going to exit I'm sure they can put up a more mature opposition than what you offer here.)

After checking with Prof. Brian Arkins of the Classics Dept, NUIGalway - who gave his imprimatur to "Habemus diabolam" and "Habebamus diabolam" before posting -it's now the case, bejaysus, that "Classics Fiend" is right and the Prof wrong.

"Response to Item"; put a name to yourself?, your sewage has the same ad hominem malodorus psychopathology as the shite that was flung at Mary Kelly and myself some months back on Indymedia by some headbanger purporting to speak for the Pit Stop Ploughshares. C'mon now !, do the dacent thing and out yourself, if you dare, otherwise, button your sphincter, asshole, alright!.
