List of Recalled Foods

category international | consumer issues | news report author Friday February 18, 2005 19:19author by amanda Report this post to the editors

This is a link to the list of recalled foods from supermarkets. The food is found to have a cancer causing food dye Sudan1. It is being taken off the shelves and if you have any of it at home, even if you bought it months ago, don't eat it.
Supermarkets in the Uk are offering refunds if you return with the wrappers, I assume they are doing the same here.

as said above, also many E-numbers have already been proven to be toxic causing headaches, rashes and some are proven to cause cancer. mono sodium glutamate isn't good enough for the factories any more now they use disodium glutamate.clearly some of these products which are now deemed safe will be later deemed harmful, the only safe way is to avoid all these additives.which means buying good quality produce(ie expensive) and preparing it yourself(time consuming) what a chore. i would also advise as much as possible to avoid cooking vegetables....

this whole food scare has went too far. ok. fair enough. it increases your chances of cancer, but gawdsake what twat had the idea to put it in2 food in th first place? its in shoe polish for fcuksake! oh dear *sighs*. Loads of othr stuff increases ur chances of cancer e.g. smoking - so why is sudan1 really all that bad? if im being honest i still do think it's best that they withdraw th foods from the shops, just incase sudan1 actually proves to be "dangerous"....but man....still.......it shouldnt have been in it in th first place!

Yeah noboby is going to get cancer from passive eating! The risk is printed on the box of fags so at least you know what you could be in for, with food its different. We expect the food we buy not to pose a risk to our lives.
