Fianna Fail,feeding....

Hungers mother.
Bertie was up a tree at feeding time
Bertie was up a tree at feeding time

When the poor mans hero ,T.D. Joe Higgins memorably rose to question Bertie Ahern in the Dail, on wednesday 2nd of January 2005 he made a number of important points which remain unadressed, and unanswered,in Bertie,s cunningly vague and curt response.
Joe rhetorically captured the corruption of the Fianna Fail party in unforgettable words,
describing Bertie Aherns feigned ignorance of decades of bribery and wrongdoing;-
"The Taoiseach may have kept his own face out of the feeding frenzy at the speculators trough, but he knew who was bucketing the swill into it and he knew the biggest snouts who were feeding from it"
Given Ray Burkes new found pedigree, it must be wondered what price was paid for the oil and gas exploration licences which were handed over by him,in 1987 to multinational exploration companies on unprecedented, royalty free terms.?
Bertie Ahern of course had his own stealth agenda - vaulting ambition of a different kind, for which he needed "clean hands" to achieve the ultimate prize, as "boss of bosses"- or as the italians call it;- " Capo de tutti capi"
The shit was already blowing towards the fan,and the rotten apples were already swaying in the wind, when Bertie was climbing those apparently barren and fruitless trees in Ray Burke,s orchard in north county Dublin.
As the old cock crows(Charles J.Haughey) so the young hen learns.(his apprentice Bertie).

said unto his number 2, you are number 2, I will call you Rocky and upon you build my most impressive buildings, now while I'm sick will you cast out those demons and ask them to enter the herd of swine?
And number 2 answered so-
"if I am number 2, should there be a number 3? For verily I am only a temporal appointee and not monkey supreme being only a primate and i'm not sure my faith can move mountains be they of Zion or Carmel"
