Two British organisations set up to help the Palestinian people have had their bank accounts abruptly closed without explanation

Two British organisations set up to help the Palestinian people have had their bank accounts abruptly closed without explanation, Neither is proscribed by the government, and both claim that their targeting is political.
The groups, Friends of Al-Aqsa (FoAA) and the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, have been asked to find alternative banking arrangements, even though neither appears on watch lists held by the Home Office or the Bank of England. The head of FoAA has also had his personal and business accounts closed.

..they are supporting terrorists? and if they are then do you think that when asked they would say "yes, we are supporting terrorists"? ofcourse these people say something like "we are just offering humanitarian aid, we have nothing to do with terrorists". just because someone says they are innocent doesnt mean they really are. heres something you can think about!

When Nazi invadors were occupying thier european neighbor's homelands, the allies sent the occupied peoples arms to liberate thier homelands.

But with murderous thieving Zionist crusaders occupying the Palestinian's homeland, westerners send aid to the invadors, while saying it is wrong for others to aid Palestinian freedom fighters. How is it wrong to aid Palestinian freedom fighters when it wasn't wrong to aid the French underground or Slavic partisans??? Is it because YOU think that YOUR appeasment of the Zionist invador's offenses changes who the offenders are and who thier victims are???

Well, Brittish and French appeasment of the Nazi invador's offenses against Czechoslovakia didn't change a thing. The allies still aided Czech and Slovak freedom fighters. Brittish and French appeasment of the ZIonist's bloodsoaked crusade at the 1947 UN doesn't change a thing either.

Hipocrite is never a compliment.

"Zionist invador's"

LOL!!!! Anti-semitic idiots hurt the cause of a palestinian state. With friends like these...perhaps Jordan should finally be acknowledged as the palestinian State 80% of the population is palestinian.

Talk of Zionism is not anti-semetic. Zionism is a political view. Israel is based on Zionism, and they invaded Arab land. Thus they are "Zionist invaders".

The political prosecution of anyone providing financial aid to a defenseless population is an atrocity.
Since the media vilifies a race of people as prone to inhumanity their prosecution was tolerated.
during nazi era, the media coined the term kike.
currently the words "islamofascism" is the trend.
vilifying a group of people so as to later prosecute them is a not a new phenomenon.
The case is that Muslims are not our enemy Ignorance is.

Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign
Victory! Royal Bank of Scotland retreats in face of determined
opposition
Edinburgh demonstration called off
Unity of Palestine solidarity groups fights off vicious attack

Faced with determined opposition, the Royal Bank of Scotland has retreated
from its attempt to damage a group campaigning for Palestinian human rights,
Friends of Al Aqsa, by withdrawing banking facilities at short notice. The
Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign joined together with the Muslim
Association of Britain (Scotland) to call for a programme of demonstrations
at the RBS Scottish Headquarters in Edinburgh, starting tomorrow at 2.00pm.
We planned to escalate these protests across Scotland in the coming weeks.

The Royal Bank of Scotland move came on the heels of the Alliance &
Leicester successfully closing down the acounts of the PSC in England and
Wales. They initially refused any negotiations or explanation of their
actions until they were faced with the threat of street demonstrations.

Scottish PSC received the following mail from Friends of Al Aqsa:
" Many many thanks for all the support we received from you and the PSC. We
were overwhelmed with the amount of support we received and the solid unity
portrayed was no doubt the main reason RBS reversed its decision - they were
inundated with complaints! Also, the threat of the rally helped immensely.
Thanks once again and we look forward to working with you again soon."

Al Aqsa's press release said
" The Royal Bank of Scotland has apologised and withdrawn its demand to
close the bank accounts of Friends of Al-Aqsa and its chairman. We are
grateful to each and every supporter who rallied around us immediately
without questions or doubt in the face of such blatant discrimination and
harassment Ismail Patel extends his warmest gratitude to all and in
particular to the Muslim Association of Britain, the Scottish Palestine
Solidarity Campaign, MCB and Stop the War Coalition....
The vulnerability of those seeking to bring justice in Palestine has been
highlighted by this incident and it is important for us to collectively
assist each other and put pressure on any institute/organisation attempting
to silence us by intimidation or harassment. The greatest lesson from this
episode is that the efforts of a united front cannot be ignored, even if
that of an individual or single organisation can be.
We thank you all and look forward to your continuous support in the future.
This victory is for us all!"

He's been a prostitute's rich beau, an officer, a gentleman and a gigolo, but Palestinians can't fathom actor Richard Gere (news)'s latest incarnation as a cheerleader for their elections this weekend.

[....]

"Hi, I'm Richard Gere and I'm speaking for the entire world. We're with you during this election time. It's really important. Get out and vote," Gere says in the English-language advertisement. He repeats the phrase, "Get out and vote" in Arabic.

"speaking for the entire world"

This Richard Gere upstart never asked me if he could speak on my behalf. Who is he anyway? I know of no reason why we should be expected to trust his political judgement.
These megalomaniacs are a confounded nuisance.

Friends of Al-Aqsa (FoAA) and the Palestine Solidarity Campaign. Does this mean cash to buy arms for Palestine or money to campaign for a safer future?
