In Aid of Outhouse

A fashionshow extravanganza is being held in Yello Capel St. in aid of Outhouse GLBT centre. Top prize weekend for two to Italy, and many more. Clothes by RIFLE, hosted by Annie Balls. tickets on sale for 15 euro at Outhouse, Yello, Trocadero and RAW

Dear Sir/Madam,

STOP PRESS!

Fashion Show Extravaganza on Wednesday, December 15th 2004 at Yello (a new bar/club 61-63 Capel St. Dublin 1) in aid of Outhouse, the gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender resource centre at 105 Capel St. D1 (opposite Yello)

Outhouse, a brief history:

In 1994 community meetings were held in Dublin to discuss a need for a GLBT community centre. In 1995 the name Outhouse was adopted and in 1996 a website was launched and Outhouse Ltd registered as a company. 1999 the Eastern Health Board locates the Gay Men’s Health Project in Outhouse. A library is also opened and President McAleese visits Outhouse.

2001 Outhouse received a substantial donation from an individual to place a deposit at 105 Capel St. A coffee bar opens in 2002.

Rebecca Tallon-Martinez begins fundraising voluntarily for Outhouse, producing and organizing the fashion show. Rebecca, a hair and make-up artist to the stars, ie Eurovision song contest 1988, has worked with U magazine, Irish Tatler and Image to name a few. Also owner of top model agency Tallon Models and has now returned to Dublin to focus on fundraising for Outhouse and general PR within the fashion industry.

There will be a press preview for the fashion show at 18.30 on Wednesday 15th pre-show for press to view models and clothes. Refreshments served

Clothes are by RIFLE @ RAW 6 Castle Court (off Drury St.)

As to date we have many spot prizes including a top prize of a weekend for two to Italy sponsored by Pride Travel and Airitalia, also vouchers from the Trocadero Restaurant, Alias Tom, also a hamper and two tickets for New Year’s compliments of management and staff of Cameo Bar Little Green St. Dublin 7 plus many more.
