Galway City Hall Dec.13 Monday 6.30-7pm, deputation of asylum-seeking
mothers (some of whose children have been born in Ireland, and who have
been given deportation notices) requesting council to pass a motion
against use of Citizenship Bill to deport families with Irish-born
children. These mothers have voted in the local election and have helped put
councillors in office. They wish to make the council aware of the
devastation & tragedy implicit in the forthcoming Citizenship Bill.
Places in public gallery of City Hall are limited, so book in advance @
091.568151. This is the first time a city or county council will have the
opportunity of hearing such a deputation. Please publicize and try to
get every council to do likewise.

how did they figure out your could bring this to the council?

Their deportations have nothing to do with the Citizenship Bill and everything to do with the fact that they have no right to be here - Irish born child or not.

By the way - "refugee mothers" is a bastardisation of what these people are.

Ireland in accordance with the principle of non-refoulement - does not deport refugees. End of story.

Ireland deports illegal immigrants and is legally, morally and duty bound to do so in accordance with its immigration laws.
