The march was a great success.

Thanks to RedDj, Greens, SF , Pete St. John, and all other who marched for Tara.

We would ask those concerned about issues like globalisation, Halliburton, oil dependency, environmental protection, corruption, bad planning, bad taste, public private partnerships, rape of public property, privatisation, history, archaeology, and Dublincentric development to contact us and lend a hand in the next battles. At least sign the petition and tell them why you are against the M3 at Tara.

All the best,

Vincent

Lots of good will is still no substitute for hard work. The march should have been bigger.

The advertisement was placed too late. We were lucky that the media was sympathetic to the cause. The turn-out was terrible.

Everyone I handed a leaflet to on the way took it, and seemed not only interested, but surprised. It seems to me that if it had been better organised that the march could have been a success. Instead, the government think only about 100 people care. Is a small march really worth it?

Please do the cause justice, take personal ego out of the way, and organise it properly next time. Then I hope to be amongst the first to congratulate you.

the march was useful in itself.... as create awareness...,i was impressed, I didn't think that the gov would pay attention a few hundred people , marches like that are for meeting like minded people, (it reminded why demonstrations are useful, having gone on so many that didn't seem to get an outcome) ...physical gatherings.. plenty of people on the march realised walking down O'Connell street handing out flyers to people waiting for buses etc was the best outcome from the march (apart from the good atmosphere).... they was plenty of hard work and the march was held then to be before it came before the minister... to get involed in the campaign sign up to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/taraskreen/ etc

I do agree with the other comments that there was not enough notice given for the march.
I was at the anti war march last year, in Dublin which was huge. Could we not get in contact with the same organisations, who probably would have a similar outlook on the Tara issue, to lend support. This is not just of concern to people in the east of the country, it is a national emergency.

Hi truth,

I've been wondering whrn you would show up.

I agree the march should have been bigger. However, you might want to check your facts before you pass your judgment.

The march was conceived two weeks before it happened, but an organisation with about 5 members and no money.

It was planned because it was felt that if we built it they would come, and to an extent they did. The timing was critical, because the Minister was reported to be about to make a decision. Now that decision has been postponed.

As you know it is illegal to put up posters.

For some strange reason, the Sunday Tribune, who are supposedly running a campaign, refused to publicize the march, and it didn't make it into any other papers.

We did do a promo outside the Dail on the Wed before, which helped.

So, truth, it looks like you are another one of those hundreds of thousands of Irish people who sit back and do nothing, but condemn others for being egotistical, when they make a go of it. What is the truth?

We still need help, and you would be welcome to join.

All the best,

Vincent
