Jump To Comment: 1 2My boycott began the day the first American bomb fell on Jugoslavia. Yes Coke, along with DC trainers of which I am very fond, Levi's Jeans, Budweiser, going to the Cinema, and Marlboro Lites......
A friend who visited Cuba a few years back; during a particularly cold snap in relations with the US, while passing through customs was asked if he would like his passport stamped, "but you won't get into America" , the customs man then chipped in with. "Stamp it twice!!", replied my friend!
Solidarity!
I'm part of Leeds Social Forum in the UK, and we are also running a campaign to boycott coke, or at very least end the exclusivity contract that our union currently has with the company so people have a choice.
We've already passed a motion to get posters up by coke machines explaining their actions in Colombia and India. The best is yet to follow I am sure.
