The victory of George Bush indicates the divided mood that exists in the US and also shows the necessity for anti-capitalist activists to organize in the working class communities, the work places and the unions.

The standard of living between ireland and the usa is due to free enterprise, not socialism.
c'mon over, we're waiting.
election 2004 proves that the americans not only rejected komrad kerry and all his viet nam zero/hero crap, but internationalism, the Useless Nations, and socialism.
you're stuck with it.
and I imagine by your choice of it, you deserve it.
bunch of frauds.
Did you ever concider that we Americans elected Bush because we feel he better represents us? Did you ever concider that maybe he is closer to the heart of America? Perhaps you have forgotten that America was founded on Freedom - and Christian values.
One of those values is the importance of life - every life. Even the life of an unborn baby. Did you know that during a late term abortion, a needle is inserted into the back of a living baby's neck and his brain is scrambled? Americans know this is wrong, and long to do something about it. The Bush administration will do its best to ban abortion. You stated that they wouldn't, citing Republican Senator Arlen Spector. You neglected to mention, however, that Spector is Pro-Abortion - and the most liberal Republican Senator.
Did you ever concider that Americans prefer Capitolism? Did you ever concider that it might actually be a better system than socialism. Well, it is, and there is plenty of evidence backing this up.
You came out in support of social security and socialized health care. Did you ever concider that Americans prefer to work for what they get? Did you ever concider that our way might be better than living on government hadouts?
Here in America our government was created to be small. Thomas Jefferson, America's third president and the author of the Declaration of Independence, once said, “A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. That is the sum of good government.”
Also, Bush isn't a warmonger - he's just trying to protect America.
We didn't elect Bush because we were misinformed. We elected him because he stands for what we stand for - something you obviously can't understand.

"One of those values is the importance of life - every life"
Presumably that is why he has sent a massive army half way around the globe and which is slaughtering anyone who gets in their way.
"Also, Bush isn't a warmonger - he's just trying to protect America"
Again, you are unbelieveable. Bush is creating more enemies for america. I cannot believe that anyone could be so daft as to believe the nonsense you have writen.
Read my lips - bush is a war criminal who will eventually be brought to justice. Whether that is in this world or the next I do not know, but in the next he will also be brought to account for his heresy, and using religion as a tool for evil.
The Nurse here are striking under Bush just as they would have had to strike under Kerry.
7,000 Nurses to Strike in California Suutter Hospitals
01 Dec 2004
On December 1, registered nurses and hospital workers will strike for one day at 13 Sutter hospitals throughout Northern California.
The California Nurses Association, the Health Care Workers Union SEIU Local 250, and SEIU Local 707, have formed a strong cooperation agreement and are demanding a new direction for the hospital industry to insure that patients get the best possible care.
Sutter Health, however, has failed to comply with the state's patient safety law requiring minimum RN-to-patient staffing ratios. Sutter is also bargaining in bad faith by rejecting calls to provide a voice in staffing for caregivers and a training fund, as many other hospital systems have done.
Nurses and caregivers do not want to strike, but many who have been negotiating for over 6 months say they must act now to stand up for their patients.
Sutter's record of violations is becoming increasingly apparent, in citations by state and federal health officials at several Bay Area hospitals.
Marin General has failed three government inspections this year, each so severely that the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has threatened to terminate the hospital's ability to be reimbursed under Medicare. Also recently, the hospital accreditation agency JCAHO took the highly unusual step of warning Alta Bates Summit Medical Center (Berkeley/Oakland) that it was in danger of losing accreditation. These violations are occurring because Sutter has become too focused on increasing its profit margin and executive salaries.
In 2003, Sutter made $465 million in profits and its CEO, Van Johnson received a 62% pay raise to $2,339,546.
One of Sutter's illegal tactics has been to threaten a lockout in the event of a strike. Caregivers say that this threat to lock them out of their own hospitals is further proof that Sutter puts profits above all else.
v Hospitals that will be struck: Alta Bates Summit Medical Center (3 campuses in Berkeley/Oakland), California Pacific Medical Center (3 campuses in SF), Eden Medical Center (Castro Valley), St. Luke's Hospital (SF), Sutter Delta Medical Center (Antioch), Sutter Lakeside Hospital (Lakeport), Sutter Solano Medical Center (Vallejo), Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa and Sutter Warrack Hospital (Santa Rosa).
The California Nurses Association is the largest organization of RNs in California, representing 55,000 RNs in 150 facilities, and the largest independent RN organization in the nation. With 100,000 members, SEIU 250 is the largest and fastest growing health care union in the Western U.S. We represent every type of health care worker, including nursing, professional, technical, paramedic and service classifications. Our mission is to achieve high quality health care for all. SEIU Local 707 is the largest union in the North Bay, representing over 7,500 members in the public and private sectors.
