YESTERDAY EVENING IN GALWAY CITY, TODAY, NEAR SHANNON AIRPORT !

It is clear, the Ennis jury verdict did not douse her fighting spirit

as, yesterday evening, she, along with members of the Islamic community, the mighty Michael D, his wife, Sabina, Green Party City Councillor, Niall O' Brollachain, activists from the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Galway Alliance Against War, some eight students from NUIGalway's Center for Human Rights along with concerned citizens attended the candlelit vigil in Shop Street instigated by the noted anti-war activist, the saintly Nuria Mustafa Dunnne. The vigil, "in empathy with the agony of Palestine and Iraq" was held to commemorate the death of the Lion of Palestine and scourge of Zionism, Yassar Arafat.
Today, in Shannon town, prior to the march on Shannon warport, she delivered a fiery address to the people of conscience gathered there. Yeah Mary, it is clear, you are not going gently into Moran's prison and that you still rage, rage against the evil of this world and, as such, we, or at least I, salute you.

I was iN Shannon last saturday along with a group of 8 or so friends, all of whom are not aligned to any party or group at all. Anyway we were sickend by mary Kelly. She spoke prior to the start of the march and gave out to the assembled crowd for not doing more.

It seemed to me that she is afraid of the consequences of her actions and now is seeking extra support. She ranted at us to "do more" as her supporters are drained emotioanllly and financially. What a motivating factor to chew the heads of the assembled protesters because not enough was being done.

I was and am dissulliousined by the event, it seemed to be taken over by the SWP and didnt even ackowledge reps from Labour or the Greens and had to be remineded to acknowledge Sinn Fein.

The anti-war movement and Mary Kelly need to change their attitudes or their dwindling number of supporters will continue to fall
