Sentencing of 52-year-old peace activist, Mary Kelly, has been adjourned again until next month.

She was found guilty of causing criminal damage to a US military aircraft at Shannon Airport last year.

Representing herself in the case, Kelly sought legal representation last week for sentencing.

This was granted by Judge Carroll Moran, who adjourned the case until today.

However, this morning Kelly's legal team said they were not in a position to proceed and requested more time.

Sentencing is now due on Wednesday, 1 December at Limerick Circuit Court.

Jail is good. I like the police. Reports like Primetime is merly liberal propaganda. The Sunday Indo writers like Gwen Halley are sensible. Fianna Fail is good.

...had moral qualms about our breach of neutrality, and ther fact that cluster bombs were to be dropped on innocent Iraqi civilians, it seems now that she is very foolish. Good, stern, stiff, urghh, yearggh, hard jail sentences will sort her out.

Then she will become sensible again. When she is released from jail, she will no longer question. She will only do that if other people will do that. Otherwise, she will be quite sensible and curt and to the point and obedient, which is in itself a great Irish tradirtion going back to the time when our administraivre capital was to be found in Rome somewhere.

Goddamit, don't you know you are such a loser if you refuse to support democracy in Iraq.? Don't you know you are a loser if you go too far with protesting? Never, ever believe in anything in this country that has not got it's stamp of approval from people with good stern beliefs in everything the newspaper tells them.

St. Mary Kelly, the patron saint of lost causes. Does the lady understand the benefits of engaging brain before putting mouth into gear?

Its usually a good idea for somebody found guilty of criminal charges to keep a low profile until they get sentenced. The State wants to make an example of Mary , her actions parading around Galway won't help the Judges opinion of her come Friday.

Great to see you press on. Not retreat from the experience of court this week. If there were more room on that speech bubble, the devil might add "and if Kerry is elected it will be more of the same too!"

Someone said once at an antiwar gathering in Dublin, when the invasion had begun and many campaigners seemed to fall to pieces that despair is an indulgence the people in Iraq didn't have. Keep pressing on, and on.
