Obviously such things would NEVER happen in Dublin. No racist attacks there either.
Barry, a quick story for you. Two South African friends of mine living and working in Dublin were subjected to racial abuse and threats by a gang of yobs, because the gang thought my friends were English. It was getting pretty scary and my friends thought they were going to get beaten up when one of my friends produced his South African passport and told the gang they were from South Africa and mentioned Nelson Mandela's name. In a flash everything changed and the gang dispersed with apologies.
Thankfully they werent hurt. Just goes to show that Irish thugs are more politically correct than we give them credit for.
