Left-wing activists in Britain are less likely to work with their political opponents and more likely to think that those who think differently have been misled, a study has found. Leftists are intolerant? Who knew.

Didnt look like more than 50 people to me.

Where are the supposed "distressed" 11,000 people?

Tony there was a lot more than 50 people. Either organise your own protest or shut up, and lets be honest 50 people at any protest you organise would be a fantastic result for people like you and your defunct, decrepit and dead beliefs. Move on multi ethnic, multi cultural Ireland is here and there is nothing you can ever do about it.

The only people I've met who voted NO to the citizenship referendum did so on (rather confused) nationalist grounds, or because (not unreasonably) they didn't want the issue of citizenship to be left entirely in the legislature's hands.

...i think it's great to see a pro-immigrant, anti-detention/deportation march, rally, and organizing by leftists in ireland - it is crucial to combat the potential backlash effects of nationalism - that while crucial and important to secure true irish liberation against occupying forces, we must also unite with oppressed people around the world - AND within our lands.

no one is free until we are all free.

It seems that ‘we’ are already free enough to protest anyhow which is great on principle.

But what good is freedom without self-determination? i.e. when the people vote overwhelmingly in a referendum they must be listened to or else we live in an autocracy.
