The above coments about things getting jaded etc reflects more on a generation that expects to be passively entertained schooled by techniques of infotainment fearful of ritual and depth basic to indegenous cultures. Don't turn up toa political event expecting to passively entertained as a consumer - schools out this ain't the movies!
Critical Mass is a cool event but it can be even more of a success if you have whistles, horns, bells and colour on it.
BVystanders like things that appear friendly and approachable so thats the way to go.
They may even join in...
Now to find my rollerblades
On Monday, September 13th the Nasa indigenous people of Colombia launched a big three-day march. Included in the march is a low-power FM radio station, broadcast from a radiocicleta (an adapted bicycle equipped with a radio transmitter and antenna that will accompany the march). The signal will be picked up along the route by different indigenous community radio stations and then streamed on the internet. It is likely no coincidence that on Friday Septemer 4, the indigenous community station Radio Nasa was shut down by the government of Colombian president Alvaro Uribe. The indigenous groups, composing tens of thousands of people are marching to protest against the war, neoliberalism, the FTAA, and constitutional counterreforms planned by the government. The Colombian Indymedia has ongoing coverage of the event.

RTS in Ireland has already seen at least 3 almost entirely different 'crews' organising it. People do get jaded after doing a couple which is why it keeps getting passed on, the first couple are good crack but who wants to spend their lives doing the same thing over and over.
So hopefully this is an indication that a new set of people are thinking of doing the maining organising for the next couple, I'm sure the previous lot will be glad to see that and glad to give them a hand.
anyone else thinking this is getting a bit jaded.. rts seems to have died off for the moment... nobody seems to be into doing the same things over and over again...
I heard there was also going to be a big heap of food care of Food Not Bombs!!!
