Uncivil Servant Supporter

The Largest Branch of the Northern Ireland civil service, today met to vote on 'all out'
strike action without pay

Branch 8 met today to discuss the now call for all out strike action without pay.

The meeting attended by up to 500 branch members voted over 85% for out strike action without pay. They also voted without exception to reject both government offers . Although members raised, to applause, that this action should had been taken from the start when momentum was at its height, they overwhelmingly endorsed the call.

This despite the finanicial hardship members may endure if this goes ahead and this dispite the long drawn out dispute of the few for the many. A clear message has been sent to governement and management from branch 8 that we are up for the fight. Let this message and result go around all civil servants branches, lets get a collective vote for action, lets mobilse the vote. Lets again build the momentum and show governement that we will not go quietly into the night without a fight.

The result in branch 8 is a great outcome. It the first of the big meetings and sends a clear message that if the work is put in and a confident fighting leadership is in place NIPSA can acheive the ballot result and a victory in this dispute.

Well done branch 8 - forward to victory

It should be added that the majority of the other 12% or so abstained and can be won on hearing of similar resounding outcomes {sent to management, government and other branches} this far into a long drawn out dispute. So lets go ALL OUT!
