Mother Red Caps , Thursday 2nd Sept 2004.
Organised by 'Fairview against the War'.

Hippo, Fish out of water, Marty melligan ,Laura kelly and Cosmic Ensamble, are on the bill so far with special guests to be announced later.

The second in a series of gigs in support of nurse Mary Kelly who has been accused by the state....twice, for attempting to save the lives of innocent Iraqi civilians in this illegal invasion and ongoing occupation. Fairview Against The War will host the evening and all are welcome. An information stall will be there on the night if you are interested in supporting this cause.

After the sucess of the last gig on Aug 27th in Mother's, we hope to keep up the good work and look foreward to the trial on the 19th of October . A great night is in store for all who come. See you there

Just got back from Germany two days when i went to the last (first) 'Plane-stoppers' gig in August. I had a great night and met some of the best people. Good luck to you all and look foreward to Sept . By the way Marty Melligan stole the show ,he was un-nerving.-besides Mary Kelly herself of course, who was only fantastic.

Since today the tickets can be booked
online with credit card at http://www.centralticketbureau.com/;
by telephone with credit card at +353 (0)1 8721122
or picked up over the counter at Liberty Hall, through the good (and cheap) offices of the Central Ticket Bureau.
Ticket prices include the booking fee and there are NO credit card surcharges or other hidden expenses - you pay exactly €10. Damn straight!

It is a variety show with something for everyone in a very good cause,
here's the sketch:

Starts at 7:30pm sharp

Act 1. - Hippo - A 3-man local rockin' band, mixture of own material and covers
20min

Act 2. - Laura Kelly - solo singer in spanish/english, acoustic guitar
20min

Act 3. - Cosmic Laugh Ensemble - A brilliant troupe of 5 improvisation comedians
35min

Break, 10 minutes for smokes

Act 4. - Speaker - light agitprop content
10min

Act 5. - Fish Outta Water - Paul O'Toole's band, electric guitar + keyboard, own lyrics are excellent
25min

Act 6. - Marty Melligan - A powerful performance poet!
20min

Live Show ends around 10:30pm, thereafter 1 hour audiovisual
backgrounder during which craick can thrive before getting thrown
outta the pub at 11:30. Perfect!
