Indy.ie FAQ (work in progress)

category national | miscellaneous | opinion/analysis author Friday August 13, 2004 18:59author by paul c - staying inside on a sunny day Report this post to the editors

an indymedia.ie specific faq

Trying to write an Frequently Asked Questions for indymedia.ie... I have written a good deal of it but to help me and others finish it off Im posting about it here...
http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Local/IMCEireFaq

this is among a number of improvements that will soon appear including work by chekov on the code itself and vinnie on a photo thumbnail script

It is mostly a collation of answer from editors to request for help found in the imc-ireland and imc-ireland-editors mailing list archives and from discussion about editorial guidlines on the this site... (it's not gospel,so to speak) http://www.indymedia.ie/editorial.php

There is already a very detailed FAQ at http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Global/FrequentlyAskedQuestionEn which covers question about the whole indymedia entity....
but one which answers questions specifically about indymedia.ie is needed, and which then branches to the GlobalFaq.

The main page for Indymedia.ie documentation on is at http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Local/IndymediaIreland

A new users guide was written for the UCD SU oscailt installation at http://www.ucdsu.net
I have begun to adapt that back for indymedia.ie at http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Local/IMCEireNewUsers
Oscailt http://www.indymedia.ie/oscailt/

Also check out Photo help page at
http://www.indymedia.ie/newswire.php?story_id=65889

Using and making Twiki's takes bit of getting use to but I am hoping this page can be an example for using twiki for other indymedia.ie collaborative projects. You can browse around at http://docs.indymedia.org which has a number of help pages or register to edit here http://docs.indymedia.org/view/TWiki/TWikiRegistration or add corrections/suggestions to the comments here...
